Ella Dish began in her studio apartment on Sullivan Street in New York City in the spring of 2001.
Her vision was to create a line of functional dog accessories that would complement the style and personality of dogs and their humans. Her first collection sold to New York's Henri Bendel on month later.
Today the Ella Dish label is carried worldwide.
Ella's Story
Every dog has her day. Mine was in the fall of 2000, when I first met Phoebe Dog, who would soon become the Ella Dish muse. Unable to find accessories to match her discerning tastes, I took matters into my own hands. The first Ella Dish products, which I pieced together in my studio apartment in Manhattan's Greenwich Village, caught the eye of the accessories buyer at Henri Bendel. 7 years later, Ella Dish is sold in hundreds of stores around the world. Although she remains much more interested in food than fashion, Phoebe Dog still serves as our inspiration. Nearly Indestructible, Devastatingly Stylish & Only Available from Ella Dish All Ella Dish collars, leads and harnesses are manufactured exclusively for us using proprietary materials that we've designed and refined over the years. We custom-make our own durable nylon webbings and our signature glow-in-the-dark quick-release buckles.
