There is a black piece of duct tape on the side of the battery case. There may also be a keep doggie safe sticker. This is there to doubly-secure the battery case cover. Please remove these strips and you can pry open the top of the case.
Change the batteries, replace the case, we recommend reusing the tape or adding duct tape for security.
